Azelaic Acid is a naturally occurring acid which works by killing the acne-causing bacteria and reduces inflammation (redness and swelling) of the skin. Salicylic Acid is a keratolytic medicine which also kills acne-causing bacteria. It additionally reduces oil production in the skin, replenishes skin cells and helps keep your pores open.
